Center for Health and Disease Studies-Nepal (CHDS-Nepal) invites applications from highly motivated candidates for below mentioned positions to conduct transmission assessment survey (TAS) in 26 districts to to assess effectiveness of Mass Drug Administration program in Nepal.  The project is governed by Government of Nepal, Department of Health services, Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) and is supported by USAID, RTI INternational, Envision and WHO.

Required positions and minimum qualifications:

  1. Laboratory Assistant/Technician:  

          Minimum Qualification: Lab Assistant or CMLT with NHPC registration.                                                                                                        

     2. Counselor:             

          Minimum Qualification: PCL in Nursing with Nepal Nursing Council registration or PCL in General Medicine (HA) or Bachelor in Public Health.         

Working Districts:

Kaski, Pyuthan, Arghakhachi, Okhaldhunga, Rolpa, Rukum, Salyan, Saptari, Siraha, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Sindhuli, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Kavrepalanchok, Nuwakot, Dhading, Ramechhap, Sindhupalchowk, Tanahun, Syangja, Gorkha, Palpa and others.

Job description:

Responsibilities for the above advertised positions include development and implementation of field survey, sample collection, field-based testing, data collection  and reporting under the supervision of CHDS-Nepal and in close coordination with EDCD and RTI Envision (USAID). Candidates are expected to manage timelines and resources to meet the project goals. Applicants with stated qualifications with previous experiences in TAS or in similar field work will be given priority. Applicants with higher academic qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Selection criteria:

After preliminary screening, candidates will be invited for the interview. Candidates are required to present their original certificates and related documents including Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC) and Nepal Nursing Council (NNC) registration certificates. Selected candidates will be informed through email.
